Overview

The North Face Women’s Resolve Jacket is a lightweight waterproof shell designed for everyday wear and walking in wet conditions. It prioritises straightforward weather protection and ease of use without added insulation.

Weather protection

The jacket uses The North Face’s DryVent fabric, a waterproof, breathable and fully seam‑sealed construction that helps keep out rain while allowing moisture vapour to escape. A durable water repellent finish on the outer fabric assists water run‑off. A front storm flap over the main zip adds another barrier against wind and rain.

Design and fit

The Resolve has a regular fit with a hip‑length cut intended to layer over a T‑shirt, fleece or light mid‑layer. It is wind‑resistant due to the waterproof membrane and has a simple, clean profile suited to both trails and everyday commuting.

Hood and adjustability

The hood is adjustable for a closer fit in poor weather and can be stowed in the collar when not needed. The hem features a cinch cord to reduce draughts, and the cuffs are elasticated to help seal out the elements.

Pockets and storage

Two zipped hand pockets provide secure storage for small items such as keys, a phone or travel cards. The pocket placement is practical for daily use.

Lining and comfort

A lightweight mesh lining on the body promotes airflow and comfort over a range of temperatures, while a smooth lining in the sleeves is intended to make the jacket easier to put on over other layers.

Use and care

The Resolve Jacket is suited to wet‑weather walking, travel and day‑to‑day wear. For care, follow the garment label instructions. Washing with a suitable technical detergent and periodically renewing the water‑repellent finish will help maintain performance.
