The Vapour-rise Jacket is a wind and water resistant, incredibly breathable softshell. The Women’s Vapour-Rise Jacket is the latest incarnation of this, the original ‘soft shell’ clothing system. First developed in 1997 by Rab Carrington in conjunction with Pertex® the Vapour-rise clothing system can be worn next to skin or as a mid or outer layer. The current Vapour-rise jacket has a female specific cut that eliminates excess material to provide best possible warmth to weight along with fantastic breathability to maximise comfort and performance. It is helmet-compatible with a wired peak and a roll-down velco tab. This is the deal jacket for hill and mountain use as well as being the system of choice for many polar explorers.
