The main living area is situated in the middle of the tent, providing space to kick back and relax, with large clear windows and a lighter roof material keeping things suitably bright inside. A door to either side facilitates flexible entry, both featuring a secondary mesh panel for bug free ventilation, with a brow canopy above one of the side doors for an ideal wet weather entry point. Ventilation and airflow in the Watergate 8 is provided by the two mesh side doors and high level ventilation at either end of the tent and above the side canopy covered door – helping to reduce condensation. A zipped cable entry point, lantern hanging point and Velcro cable tidies allows the Watergate 8 to be lit for a cosy night-time ambience.
Bedrooms sleeping up to four persons feature at both ends of the vis-à-vis layout (sleeping up to 8 in total), with a darkened fabric reducing early morning light allowing for a better nights sleep. Toggled dividers feature for sleeping configuration options and internal pockets allow storage of small essentials close to hand. The versatile bedrooms are ample size to accommodate a double airbed or sleeping mat, or can alternatively be used for storage depending on your preferences.
Space can be extended further alongside with a highly recommended optional multi-functional canopy, adding to the scope of usage. This excellent canopy features a roll-up front door, with large windows to both sides and can be orientated to oppose the side brow canopy to provide a rain safe entrance to either side of the Watergate 8 – suitable for all conditions. The same quality fabric is used for the canopy to perfectly compliment the tent.
Other useful features of the Watergate include colour-coded inner tent suspension for ease of pitching and impressive headroom throughout the tent to improve the comfort of your stay. A highly recommended optional footprint is available offering additional protection for the Watergate 8’s groundsheet, whilst an optional tent carpet will provide soft and welcoming warmth, along with comfort underfoot.
